"There is a Cherokee proverb that describes how each person has within us two wolves that are constantly fighting. One wolf is evil- he is envy, anger, sorrow, regret, greed, self-pity, resentment, guilt, inferiority, lies, pride, superiority, and ego. The other wolf is good- he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. "So which wolf will win the fight? According to the proverb, it will be 'whichever one we feed'.
"In 'The Wolf Within' I married two of my other sculptures 'Pack Leader' and 'Night Watch' to depict a triumphant and confident-looking wolf with only one 'good' wolf left inside." --Gibby
