DESCRIPTION:Join us in our Laguna Beach gallery for an evening exhibiting a new collection of Jenny Simon‘s boldly elegant seascapes and visions of Summer Dreams.\nSaturday\, August 14th\n6 PM – 9 PM\nMeet Jenny Simon and experience the incredible colors & textures of her original oil paintings in person at her Opening Reception titled\, Summer Dreams\n+ Live Music + Chilled Refreshments + Artist Attendance + New Artwork\nJenny Simon has developed her own distinctive technique. The artist uses palette knives and her hands to apply/form multiple layers of oil paint onto canvas\, which gives her artwork a rich quality and texture. \nJenny was drawn to the visual arts\, theater\, and dance from an early age. After running away from an abusive home at age 17\, she found work with an airline and traveled the world. As a child\, Jenny Simon came across postcards of German masters Karl Spitzweg and Albrecht Duerer. She was fascinated by their abilities to capture emotions and light and began studying their work. \nInfluenced by painters like Richter and Pollock\, she started painting oils in abstraction and became a full-time artist in 1995. In 2002 she established her studio in Southern California where she currently resides. Jenny Simon’s work is sought after and collected worldwide.
