He was accepted into his first gallery at the age of 17, and is now in collections throughout the United States and the world. These are some of the last of Pablo's work available on the retail market.

Milan was primarily a self-taught artist who grew up as a fifth generation New Mexican. His grandfather, a rancher, founded and established the town of Milan, NM in 1957, just on the fringes of Grants, NM.

An expressionistic colorist, Milan first layered the paint, sometimes painting 25 layers on the canvas, and only adding the imagery in the final stages. "This gives the paintings depth and the appearance of changing colors throughout the day, depending on the light,” he said. “Layering allows the colors to really pop under the lights at night."

A prominent and recognized artist, Milan's paintings have long been viewed as highly collectible. His distinctive contemporary edge, both in colors and style, evolve into a mystical illusion of imagery from the Southwest. Milan has exhibited in galleries from Florida to Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Milan's paintings are in private and corporate collections around the world, including the private collections of Shakira, Columbian rock star, Ron Howard, producer and actor, and the rock band Nickleback, Peoria Riverfront Museum, Peoria, Ill.

Museum exhibit: "Enchantment", The Southwestern Art Collection of Charles and

Jeanette Gilchrist White, Peoria Lakeview Museum, 2008.
