A love of fine art combined with a background in structural engineering, provided Michael with the essential tools to make his passion for painting successful. <br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nMichael spent countless ... <a id=\"showMore\" onclick=\"_gaq.push([\"_trackEvent\", \"MoreLess\", \"Artist\", \"More\"]);\" href=\"#\">more<\/a><\/span><span id=\"alltext\" style=\"display:none\">An Arizona native, Michael Pabst has a deep and real appreciation for the Southwest Landscape. A love of fine art combined with a background in structural engineering, provided Michael with the essential tools to make his passion for painting successful. <br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nMichael spent countless hours quietly watching and studying his father, artist Charles H. Pabst, as he painted.  Because of his intense desire to learn, Michael took full advantage of this unique opportunity and began painting at a very young age. At only 15, Michael sold his first painting at El Presidio Gallery in Tucson. By 17, Michael was a featured artist at the Voita Gallery on Main Street in Scottsdale, AZ. He has also showed at the Rosenquist Gallery in Tucson to help finance his college education. <br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nMichael received his degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Arizona. After working briefly in both the design and construction elements of architecture, Michael returned to his true love of painting. \"Studying structure and physics actually gave me a solid background for 'building' a painting, especially design and perspective. I have always been creative and love to build and make things. I enjoyed designing and building homes, but always continued painting.
