As well as her own work, Miri collaborates with her brother Barak Rosenvain on 2Wild, a unique style which they have developed together.

The artists' studio was located in the family home, Toronto, Canada, where she spent endless hours as a child watching her family paint. As a group, they visited world-renowned museums, international art galleries and art shows, exposing Miri to the creative work of great artist. Miri's formal education began in 2016 at the York University Visual Arts program.

Growing up experimenting with colors, textures, and different materials, Miri's own distinctive style began to develop at the age of 16. She had a love of nature and wildlife and wanted to capture the magical experience of encountering wildlife in nature. Her ability to capture the unique personality of each wild animal, especially through thoughtful, expressive, and kind eyes, creates an intimate connection with the viewer.

Using natural stone and sand mixed with paint, she uses a palette knife to sculpt a textured and natural feel to the animal. With spontaneous and free application, drips, smears, scrapes, and spills that at close inspection appear entirely abstract, facial expressions appear. Targeted use of bold color puts the marvelous animal at center focus, often dissolving into her washes of grey and earthy texture to fill her work with a sense of atmosphere and mood.

The piece is only complete once it feels as if the painting can breathe on its own. Miri's growing connection to nature has instilled a sense of responsibility for nature and wildlife awareness. The artist's mission is to share the love for wildlife by bringing the beauty of nature into peoples' homes.

2Wild Collaboration

Recently Miri and her artist brother Barak decided to join forces and collaborate using all their considerable talent, they created something entirely new and different. They have branded it as 2Wild and each of the paintings is teeming with emotion - tales of wonder and excitement. Whether it’s a kind bear waking up in spring amid fluttering colorful butterflies or a surfer propelled by a wave of butterflies, the message is loud and clear. Go out there and be wild!

Since childhood, Barak and Miri shared a studio and helped each other grow as artists. Every year, the Rozenvain family of artists travels together around the world to be exposed to and inspired by an endless amount of new and exciting artwork. This creates a melting pot of ideas and fuels the family’s favorite hobby: brainstorming for new art concepts.

To create these fascinating compositions, 2Wild experiments with unique and innovative combinations of media. The artists combine traditional painting elements such as brush and palette knife work, with contemporary materials and techniques such as collage, resin, and plexiglass to create a magical mashup of both worlds.
