Jenny traveled extensively with her family throughout Europe, exploring different cultures and their arts. She started drawing with charcoal to study and imitate the German painters Karl Spitzweg and Albrecht Duerer, and by adolescence, was expressing herself with mediums such as acrylic and watercolors.
Influenced by painters like Gerhard Richter and Jackson Pollock, Jenny's interest turned to painting large abstracts in oil. Her work is heavy with rich texture which accentuate the bold colors. In 2002 the artist established her new studio in Southern California where she currently resides. Her works are sought after worldwide by both galleries and collectors. She also specializes in creating custom-designed work.
Jenny Simon is a member of the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA) and serves currently as the president of the Pasadena Society of Artists.
