Reid’s bold images of poetic skies and surrealistic landscapes celebrate the journey of life.
“Imagery, color and composition help me visually describe the way I interpret the world, using natural themes as metaphors.
My most recent work focuses on the various metaphors a tree provides. A tree is a powerful symbol. It can represent protection and wisdom, personify a human being or teach us about our past. ‘Family Tree’ is a body of work concerned with the idea of what a family is and how we are all connected. I have combined the abstract nature of cumulus clouds, my favorite subject matter, with the structure of a tree to create a visual mystery.”
