Ocean Dreams with Jenny Simon in Laguna Beach

The Signature Gallery will showcase a new collection of original abstractions from local Laguna Beach artist, Jenny Simon, during the First Thursday ArtWalk.

Jenny Simon is an abstract expressionist, dedicated to communicating the passionate emotions felt throughout the span of her creation process. She uses palette knives and her hands to apply and form multiple layers of oil paint onto the canvas- giving her artwork rich quality, movement, and texture.

With vivid, yet serene color palettes and a desire to connect to the viewer, Jenny Simon designs hauntingly beautiful scenes; at times with mystic visions of seascapes. Her other abstractions offer a viscerally elegant perspective, utilizing bold impassioned strokes and a blend of intentionally graceful mark-making.

Originally from Germany, Simon has had a lifelong passion for visual arts. Jenny traveled the world and continued to grow her passion for the arts alongside her interests in fashion and philanthropic endeavors. Fulfilling her dream of being a full-time professional artist, Jenny now resides in Laguna Beach painting the sensations found in the ocean and her community.
